Enough is Enough

I've had to put my crocheting to one side - and my knitting - and most everything else.  Woe is me, I have eye strain.

Too much fiddly crocheting and trying to read intricate patterns on the small screen of my Kindle tablet.

It's my body's way of saying, "Enough is enough, you're in danger of becoming a crazy crochet lady!"

I'm okay if I focus on the middle distance rather than up close, but my arms aren't long enough to do crocheting at that distance!  I'm not the sort of person who can sit and do nothing.

So for the next few days, until my eye gets better, I'll be the one sitting twitching in the corner, staring longingly at my crocheting in the middle distance.

  1. Oh no - not on a holiday weekend. I have been looking at your Lucy Fairisle pattern on Ravelry - I have a summer top I'm frogging and I want to turn it into a Fairisle sleeveless top. I don't have quite enough colours as you had but I think it could work.

    1. Thank you, Caz. I do wear glasses for reading and I have an enhanced pair for crafting - but even these have not been strong enough for all my recent crocheting.

  6. Oh dear poor you. I know what you mean a bit, as I was away last weekend, but accidentally forgot to take my knitting. Nothing was quite right without it. Hope your eyes recover soon.
